Why Georgia Catches the Eye of Global Founders
When you’re running a business abroad, some countries feel like a maze. Endless paperwork, slow banks, hidden taxes, they’re deal-breakers for fast-moving founders. Georgia flips that script.
Here’s a country where you can open an LLC in just 1–2 days, register everything remotely, and enjoy one of the lowest tax environments in Europe. No need to fly in, no need for power of attorney, no endless visits to government offices.
For freelancers, startups, and crypto founders living abroad, Georgia has quietly become one of the best places to register a company.
Can You Really Open a Company Without Living in Georgia?
Yes, and it’s easier than you think. Georgia allows foreigners to register companies remotely. You don’t need residency, you don’t need a Georgian partner, and you don’t even need to step foot in the country.
Through providers like Gegidze, the process is fully digital:
Choose your company structure (LLC is the most popular).
Upload your documents.
Within a day or two, your company is officially registered with the Georgian Public Registry.
The entire setup can be done from your laptop while you’re sitting in Berlin, Dubai, or San Francisco.
Why Founders Living Abroad Choose Georgia
Fast and Simple Registration
In most countries, starting a company takes weeks or months. In Georgia, it’s 48 hours for an LLC. That speed is a game-changer if you need to onboard clients quickly.
Remote Banking
Opening a bank account in Georgia can also be done remotely. Gegidze helps you set up an account in 3–5 business days, no power of attorney required. For foreign founders, this removes one of the biggest barriers to cross-border business.
Low Taxes
Taxes are where Georgia really shines:
Corporate tax is deferred until profits are distributed.
Virtual Zone companies pay 0% corporate tax on foreign IT and blockchain revenue.
International Company status reduces corporate tax to 5% and eliminates dividend tax.
Contractors registered in Georgia pay just 1% turnover tax with Small Business Status.
That combination is nearly impossible to find elsewhere.
Crypto-Friendly Regulations
If you’re in Web3, DAOs, or crypto mining, Georgia is one of the clearest and most efficient jurisdictions. You can run payroll in crypto (converted to fiat), register as a VASP if needed, and benefit from tax regimes like Free Industrial Zones with 0% corporate tax and no VAT.

Why Georgia Beats Other Jurisdictions for Remote Founders
If you’re living abroad and comparing options:
Estonia: e-Residency is popular, but corporate taxes can add up and banks are slow.
UAE: Attractive, but expensive for small teams.
Georgia: Low costs, fast registration, remote setup, and crypto-friendly rules.
For founders who want speed, simplicity, and tax savings, Georgia comes out ahead.
